Our Futures Fair 2026 Inspires Students with Real‑World Opportunities

Our fourth Futures Fair 2026 was a resounding success, bringing together students, staff, families and a wide range of employers, organisations and training providers to explore future pathways in an engaging, inclusive and interactive way.

The event created a vibrant atmosphere, with pupils enthusiastically visiting stalls, asking thoughtful questions and taking part in hands‑on activities. From public services and local businesses to colleges, leisure providers and community organisations, the variety of stalls on offer helped students see the breadth of opportunities available to them now and in the future.

Staff feedback highlighted the exceptional level of student engagement, with many commenting on how confidently pupils interacted with exhibitors and purposefully explored areas linked to their interests, including employment, apprenticeships and further education. One member of staff noted how rewarding it was to see students “realise the opportunities out there” and begin making connections for Preparation for Adulthood Weeks and career planning.

Interactive stalls were highlighted throughout, with students particularly engaged by exhibitors who encouraged discussion and practical involvement. The friendly and approachable nature of visitors stood out, with many staff commenting on the passion shown by employers who were keen to inspire young people and share their experiences of work.

The event was also valued as a community moment, bringing together students, parents, staff and employers with a shared purpose. One colleague described it as “a fantastic annual event” and another highlighted how positive it was to see students, parents and staff all attending and asking questions together.

We are extremely grateful to all the businesses, organisations and individuals who gave their time to support the event, and to the staff team who worked hard to organise and run it smoothly. The Futures Fair remains a powerful opportunity for our students to build confidence, broaden their aspirations and begin imagining their own futures.
