Residential opportunities
At Springfields Academy, our residential programme is a key part of our commitment to helping every student build a safe and independent life, with personal development at the heart of everything we do. Our carefully planned residential offer runs from Year 5 to Year 11, supporting pupils at every stage as they grow in confidence, resilience, and independence.
The journey begins in Year 5 with late stay activities at school—gentle introductions to time away from home in a familiar and supportive environment. As students progress through the years, these experiences gradually expand to include overnight stays, weekend trips, and, ultimately, exciting residential adventures further afield. All secondary age pupils will also have the opportunity to take part in one of our unforgettable international trips, giving them a taste of independence on a global scale.
Throughout this journey, students develop key life skills—such as teamwork, self-care, responsibility, and decision-making—all within a nurturing framework that prioritises their wellbeing and growth. Our staff work closely with families to ensure each student is supported and prepared for every step, making each experience personalise, positive and enriching.
Residential experiences are not just about being away from home; they are about discovering new strengths, building friendships, and creating lifelong memories. They are a vital part of the Springfields approach to education, rooted in our belief that every child deserves the chance to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
